Official says Russia can ship Sukhoi Superjet 100 to Air Serbia

MOSCOW, Oct 21 (PRIME) -- Russia and Serbia are in negotiations on upgrade of the fleet of Air Serbia with Russia’s Sukhoi Superjet 100, First Deputy Chief of the Government Staff Sergei Prikhodko told reporters on October 19.

“The issue of supply of Russia-made jets to Serbia is discussed in various modes. In particular, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft is in contact with Serbia’s national carrier Air Serbia on upgrade of the fleet of the airline by purchasing of Russian jets Sukhoi Superjet 100,” Prikhodko said.

The sides are also negotiating construction of a post-sale service center for Sukhoi Superjet 100 in the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.

The official also said that Air Serbia can potentially be interested in Russian MC-21 jets as well.
